Master Dog Tags
This is just a reminder that we are working to earn Reading Master, Math Master, Geography Master, and Perfect Attendance dog tags. Many students have earned several already.
Dog tags are awarded each month. We practice most of the concepts that have to be learned in class but extra practice at home will ensure your child receives as many dog tags as they can. They get to wear their necklace each Monday at Rise and Shine and will get to take them home at the end of the year.
Reading Master: Read 30 books at home. Just jot down the name of the book and your child's name and when you get 30 send it to me in your child's folder. Reading Master dog tags can be earned 2 times per year. (once a semester)
Math Master: Your child must be able to count by 2's to 20 and by 1's, 5's, and 10's to 100. I will test this week to see who is ready for their math dog tag. Every concept must be mastered in order to earn the tag. ( This tag can only be earned once. )
Geography Master: Your child must be able to tell me the name of the city, state, country, and continent that they live in. Also, the number of states in the United States. We practice these in class every morning. Please work with them at home to learn their address. This is the other requirement to earn the Geography dog tag. I will begin testing this week to see who is ready. Every concept must be mastered in order to earn this tag. (This tag can only be earned once.)
Perfect Attendance: This dog tag can be earned every month! To earn this dog tag, students cannot be tardy or absent for the whole month.
